About Michelle Brode

Whether you are a parent or an educator, you want to do right by the young people in your life.

How can you best support them in this challenging world while enjoying your role as parent or educator?

I help parents and schools answer this question.

Working with Michelle was a very meaningful experience- one that I did not know I needed until I started.  She guided our conversations through a combination of asking questions and providing thorough and thoughtful feedback.  She is a terrific listener, able to elevate moments of celebration and moments that need to be addressed.  I cherish the time we spent together and know that I have grown because of it.  I highly recommend working with Michelle.

You are a parent

You want what is best for your kids. But sometimes it’s hard to know what that looks like, or how to get there. You want to enjoy parenting, reduce the friction in your home, and prepare your children for the future. You want strong and connected relationships with your children now, and for years to come. But how can you navigate all of the demands of the moment?

You are an educator

Every day you experience the tension between engaging your students in meaningful academic pursuits, while knowing that they are struggling with unprecedented levels of mental health challenges. You and your dedicated colleagues want to support the well-being of all your students, but how do you do that with limited time and resources?

It is easy to feel overwhelmed and under-skilled. You feel like somehow you should know what to do, but you don’t.

I work with families and parents through parent coaching.

I work with teachers, administrators, and school communities providing mental health education.

I know it is possible to develop the skills to support our youth in these challenging times. When we work together, we build our capacity, confidence, and competence to do right by the young people in our lives.

I love my work. I love bolstering our kids and teens where they live, learn, and play by supporting the adults around them.

My greatest honor continues to be parenting my daughters, both of whom are now teens. They are my life's greatest gifts and greatest teachers.

I have been so fortunate to have many mentors in my life- parents, aunts, uncles, teachers, and supervisors who have strengthened me with their support, kindness, and wisdom.

My passion is to bolster parents, teachers, and school administrators to feel capable, confident, and skillful in supporting young people towards a future full of possibility.

Michelle’s presentation was excellent!  She was clear and professional and she helped me to see things from my teen’s perspective.  I came away with helpful information and practical tips that truly improved our family dynamic.
